Photo of the Week, Year 3, Week 23

We all have our own way of seeing things.  Every thing that touches our senses, we interpret uniquely based on our own personal knowledge and experiences of the world around us.  As an artist, for reasons I don’t quite understand yet, I am compelled to share my perspective with anyone willing to look.  I don’t expect everyone to be interested in or even care about what I have to share, but for those that see and understand and get excited about what I’m trying to share through my images…well, there’s practically no better feeling!  To see someone stop dead in their tracks and stare at one of my photographs, I know something of how I see the world has touched them.  Maybe it even woke up a part of them they didn’t realize was asleep.  That’s part of what I mean when I say to hold on to you sense of wonder, because I believe there is something remarkable in every little detail.  We only need to remember to take a break from our crazy, hectic lives once and a while in order to recognize the wondrous.

    Love your sentiment.

I find people do that with my artwork and my photography, But I’ve had others (usually budding photographers) say (to my face) “Oh I took a better shot of that” Seriously, people can be so rude but then being an Artist you have to have a thick skin anyway, right! LOL!!

    Have a lovely weekend, cheers, T. :)
